December 5, 2025A Dynamic Start to the VU Experience
Orientation Week kicked off in the university auditorium with a warm welcome from the senior leadership team and faculty members. New students were introduced to VU’s guiding philosophy, “We’re the University for YOU,” which emphasizes student-centered learning, innovation, and work-integrated education.
Victoria University Kampala (VU) came alive with excitement as the November 2025 intake arrived on campus, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for hundreds of fresh “Victorians.” The week-long orientation program blended academic guidance, digital literacy, and social integration, ensuring every student stepped confidently into university life.

These sessions provided students with essential insights into:
- Navigating V–Class, VU’s digital learning platform, used for coursework, assignments, and academic communication.
- Exploring key support services, such as the library, cooperative education office, and student support systems that ensure academic and personal success.
- Understanding VU’s Flexible Trimester System, designed to help students balance studies with work and personal commitments.
With clear guidance and hands-on demonstrations, students gained a strong academic foundation before classes officially began.

Building a Community: Friendships and Networks Formed.
Beyond academic preparation, Orientation Week also focused on creating meaningful social connections. Various activities, including icebreakers, networking mixers, and interactive group sessions, helped students build friendships and find peer mentors.
These moments fostered a sense of unity and belonging, transforming a diverse group of individuals into a supportive community ready to take on the VU experience together.
Missed Phase One? Phase Two Is On the Way
For students who were unable to attend the first phase of Orientation, VU announced that a Phase Two Orientation will take place at the end of November. This ensures that every student in the October/November intake gets fully integrated into campus life. Updates will be shared on Victoria University’s official X (formerly Twitter) page.

Prepared, Confident, and Ready to Begin
As Orientation Week concluded, the November 2025 cohort left empowered, equipped with knowledge, inspired by VU’s mission, and connected to a supportive community. With both academic and social foundations firmly set, the new Victorians are ready to embark on their unique educational journeys.
Welcome to the VU family—where your journey is the story we build together.
